Photographs are optional and are used for staff identification and the unit’s digital staff platforms. They are not shared publicly. You may also add your biosketch to the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health website.

Leadership, Professional Development and Reflection

I will discuss these opportunities and expectations further during induction. Interns are encouraged to take on leadership and professional development roles during their neonatal rotation. Therefore, each neonatal group should have an intern representative, elected by the interns in neonates. This role is separate from the representative appointed for the paediatrics rotation.

Interns are also encouraged to become involved in unit initiatives. Please indicate whether you would be interested in overseeing the MGN Wellness Bulletin, an intern-led initiative that provides an opportunity for professional development and may be included in a professional portfolio or CV. Other opportunities, including involvement in research and quality improvement projects, will also be discussed during induction. You can refer to the MMed and MPhil research website.
